Hawkins Projects Ltd were awarded a new build contract for the construction of a new HiTech industrial facility based on the Wildmere Industrial Estate in Oxfordshire.
The construction process involved ground clearance, ground stabilization, and piling foundations prior to the installation of the large structural steel frame building envelope, which featured a fully insulated roof and aesthetically pleasing cladding system to the walls. The internal of the building benefited from a new structural steel mezzanine floor complete with a fully integrated set of offices covering a total area of 2000m2.
In order to meet the delivery programme, the erection of the structural steelwork and building envelope commenced simultaneously, enabling us to work on multiple areas concurrently.
Due care was taken throughout the build to mitigate the impact on other business estate residents. Dust and noise reduction measures were implemented throughout the works, as well as careful traffic management/planning to reduce disruption to the surrounding businesses.
The office space was completely fitted out to a high standard, and this building received an EPC A rating.
