Last week the Hawkins Group held our annual summer barbecue to celebrate the business’ continued growth and success.
This past year has seen lots of exciting changes and large investments within the group. In autumn last year, we opened a second office facility directly opposite our current head office of 13 years. This was one of our largest investments and most gratifying. The purchase of a second building has allowed our business to fulfil our order book and occupy our fast growing team. Shared services and Hawkins Steel Ltd are located in the main head office – Hawkins 1 and Hawkins Projects Ltd and Hawkins Roofing Ltd are in the new offices – Hawkins 2.
We’ve also made significant investments in software, particularly for our drawing office and for managing projects across the group, we’ve upgraded the extraction fans in our steel workshop and continue to offer training and development for all employees.
We attribute our success to our dedicated workforce. The annual barbecue, with other social events throughout the year, gives us a chance to thank our staff for their continued hard work. All areas of the business come together to share a drink and a bite to eat. Staff from different business units enjoy the opportunity to chat and get to know colleagues they don’t usually interact with at work.
