This year we celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Hawkins! The group initially launched in 1978 with just Hawkins Roofing Ltd as a stand-alone business established by Mick Hawkins, offering industrial roofing services and general maintenance and repairs.
As the company grew, Hawkins Steel Ltd was added offering steel work to the construction industry and a fully customisable steel fabrication service, followed by Hawkins Projects Ltd offering the full package in terms of project management and consultancy services.
In the 40 Years since the business launched, the Hawkins Group have seen significant growth and change, not only by employing an experienced workforce of over 60 people, a company restructure – involving Mike Hawkins taking over as Managing Director of the group with Paul Jackson and John Baker taking over as Directors of the subsidiary companies – and expansion of our offices but also with the size and value of the jobs we undertake. In 2017 our largest contract to date was won (£4.8m) providing us with an annual record turnover of £15.6m.
As a testament to our passion and success we’re very proud to have won multiple awards at the Oxfordshire Business Awards and Cherwell Business Awards over the years.
