There was big excitement at Hawkins over the weekend as the 150-tonne crane arrived to load and deliver some large fabricated modular units to London.
These structural steel framed units were fabricated and pre-constructed within our Hawkins facility based in Banbury. The largest units weighed some 17 tonnes each, whilst the two smaller units weighed in at around 12 tonnes.
The logistics around organising this delivery were vast and involved specialist transport through the night, ensuring the whole route was clear of obstructions and roadworks. The pictures tell the story of how safely and effectively this operation was completed.
